Greetings RF Members,

Here we are for another newsletter! This past month has certainly been interesting. Without further ado, let's plow into the news.

Topping off the month's news, Redemption now has its very own fleet-wide merit system. Our merit badges are quite unique, which means we can stand apart from the other fleet like a shining pillar of glory.. or something equivalent. You all should have already received the email announcing the merit system, but in case you did not you may read up on it at http://www.rebelsquadrons.org/rf/generalinfo.php

The STC is moving ahead with its Galactic Battlegrounds ITOD, currently on mission 2. Play some GB, beat the ITOD mission, and help your squad to win this month!

Vanguard Wing is currently running interactive stories to prepare its members for the release of Star Wars Galaxies. Check out the SWG message boards and see how the stories are coming along.

In other news, Kenobi Group now has a new CO. Congratulations to Lieutenant Colonel Trosa Aldair! I know Trosa will do good work in Kenobi, and I've been impressed with what he has done so far. Thanks, Trosa!

After discussions with Lieutenant Colonel Randy Starkiller and Captain Dareesha Anais, I have decided to transfer Liberate squadron over to the Allegiance Battle Group. Members interested in joining this simming unit should look to the ABG from now on.

The Starcraft Warfare and Assault Team has a new temporary CO. 1st Lieutenant Tay Lothain is hard at work trying to provide activities for the members of this unit, and doing a great job so far. Keep it up, Tay!

Ghost Squadron is continuing its ITOD. I believe the Ghosts are on mission 104 at the moment. 1st Lieutenant Joel Lance deserves mention for all the great work he has done in Ghost to make this ITOD a reality. Well done, Joel!

Rounding off RF news, Xaver Guard has been officially shut down. With the retirement of its founder, Rear Admiral Adam Fene, the unit lost cohesiveness and has finally been retired from our roster. Thanks to all the former Xaver crew for giving it a good effort!

The webpage (http://www.rebelsquadrons.org/rf) is up-to-date with current division numbers, as well as the afore-mentioned merit system description. Contact me if you have questions about the information presented on the website.

There are no awards to be given this time around, but I urge the Division CO's to use the RF merit system to reward people in their units.

Classifieds: Major Dhruv Kalra has asked me to put out a call for all graphically or otherwise artistically inclined RF members to join Rebel Squadrons Multimedia. RSM is in need of active people so that it can fulfill requests. This is an excellent opportunity to make other members of the RS very happy!

That's it for this month. I'm very proud of how well Redemption has been doing recently. We have dedicated Division Commanders and everybody seems to be having a fun time. That's what it's all about!

Reach for the stars, and you will find that you can often catch them!
